In advance
There is no globally valid or country-specific regulation regarding allowed and prohibited medications. The regulations depend on the country, authorities, airline, and current situation.
Medications in carry-on luggage
We recommend always carrying medications in your carry-on luggage, as you never know what might happen to your checked backpacks, bags, and suitcases. This way, you play it safe and won't have to go without medications for several days in the worst case. Temperature-sensitive medications should also be in your carry-on luggage.
Liquids
The rule here is: Medications that are not needed during the flight may only be carried in quantities of up to 100 milliliters in carry-on luggage. These must be transported in a sealed, transparent bag.
Prescription medications
Those that you need to take during the flight may, of course, be carried in your carry-on luggage. However, it may happen that a medical certificate is required at the security check. We recommend that you inform yourself about the import regulations for medications in some countries before entering, such as:
- USA
- Singapore
- Saudi Arabia
- United Arab Emirates
- China
- Australia
- Maldives
Wherever your next trip takes you: We wish you a pleasant journey, many new impressions, and above all, that you are always Safe.Relaxed.On the go.
